Our Wedding - April 6, 2002

We were married in Olathe, KS at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. It was a beautiful springtime wedding.

Honeymoon - April 2002

We went to Greece for our honeymoon. We spent a week on Rhodes Island and a few days in Athens. Our favorite part of the trip was a boat ride to the island of Symi where we rented a motor scooter and took a personal tour of the island.

Our New Home in Bluewater Bay, Florida

Frank moved to our new home in Bluewater Bay, Florida in April 2002, and I soon followed in May 2002. My sister, her two little ones, and my mom came down for a week-long visit in June 2002. We spent a lot of time at the beach - almost every day it seemed! Our favorite beach day we spent on Navarre Beach's barrier island. We were some of the only people there that day - very peaceful!

First Deployment

Frank and my first deployments were in April and July 2002, respectively. Here's a pic of Frank of me in Pakistan on the MC-130. I had just arrived in country - it was the first time we had seen each other since our honeymoon! The middle shot is of me on top of the 130 - in full desert brown. One thing I learned after this deployment was how bright colors can seem after going months of only seeing brown! The last shot is of us on the beach in exotic Oman.

Trying to Get Smiles - Columbus Day 2002

This picture cracks me up! It is of us trying to get the kids to smile for a picture. I think we are smiling much more than them!

Deployment Time Again

Just how many flyers can you fit into one tiny, little room anyway?

For our second round of deployments we went to Africa. We could get off base here - talk about culture shock! We ventured to the local market and managed to find some neat little restaurants in town. It was interesting, but sad to see how so much of the world lives. The smaller photo is of a local girl at the market.

Cigar Time

I really wish I could remember when this picture was taken! It was sometime in 2002, I am pretty sure. It is of my cousin Larry, brother Dan, cousin Bobby, and Frank. The boys were all hanging out at my brother's old place in the cigar room.
